Joe Biden has caused more problems for both the Obama administration and the campaign by claiming (a) the White House was unaware of security requests that got passed along to the State Department (a comment that appeared to throw Secretary of State Clinton under the bus); and (b) that the intelligence community informed the White House that there were protesters outside of the consulate in Benghazi.
There were no protesters outside of the consulate in Benghazi, of course. The administration was careful in the past to dance around the issue of whether there were protesters, and eventually decided to stop making the claim. As the article points out, Biden has now tied the administration to the claim, so the administration is now forced to say that the vice president of the United States was either lying when he said that there were protesters outside of the consulate, or that he has absolutely no idea what he is talking about.
Oh, and if all of that wasn’t enough, it is clear that Biden is trying to scapegoat the intelligence community.
Remind me again why I should think that Joe Biden won the debate against Paul Ryan.
