I’ve always been puzzled by the claim that foreign policy is the Obama administration’s strong suit. Perhaps it is when one compares the administration’s performance in foreign policy to its performance in, say, economic policy. But as we all know, that’s not saying a whole lot.
Tom Mahnken discusses how the administration’s Mideast policy has turned out to be a resounding failure. Of course, if we had a decent and competent press corps–or if a Republican were president now–we would be discussing this subject a lot more than we currently do.
