The situation is as depressing as it ever was. Consuming alcohol will get you sentenced to death, and Facebook activities can get your parents abducted by the authorities.
I freely admit that the power of the United States to do anything about this is at least somewhat limited, but let’s all remember that when the Green Revolution asked–begged–for support from the Obama administration, President Obama gave them nothing. And he achieved no American geopolitical goals by remaining silent. Something else to remember when going to the polls this November.
