The bad news is that MSNBC failed to own up to its dishonesty; claiming merely that the station “didn’t get a chance to play” the video of the full remarks.
So, in other words–assuming that we actually believe this far-fetched excuse–since MSNBC “didn’t get a chance” to play Romney’s remarks in full, the muckety-mucks there thought that it would be okay to play a selectively edited version of the remarks in order to poke fun at Romney. The fact that viewers would be misled didn’t seem to occur to the folks at MSNBC, and if that fact did occur to them, it didn’t bother them much.
And this makes MSNBC appear honest and upright . . . how exactly?
