Another Reason to Like Mitch Daniels

by Pejman Yousefzadeh on June 11, 2012

He comes down hard on public sector unions, questioning their very existence. As he should; as Daniels himself puts it, “voters are seeing the fundamental unfairness of government becoming its own special interest group, sitting on both sides of the table.” If anything useful came out of the recall elections in Wisconsin–besides a stirring and massive rebuke against the recall forces, and their allies in the unions, the Obama administration, and the Democratic party in general–it is this realization on the part of the electorate. Let’s hope that it leads to the formulation and implementation of better policy in the future.
