Rick Santorum? Seriously???

by Pejman Yousefzadeh on February 20, 2012

When your candidacy gets caught up in arguments about religion instead of the godawful economy that is on the mind of just about every voter in America, and when you attack your main opponent for the Republican presidential nomination for taking congressional earmarks for the Olympics that you yourself voted for, then you pretty much have no business whatsoever passing yourself off as a legitimate candidate for the presidency.

I don’t know how much longer the flirtation with Rick Santorum is going to continue. I do know that the longer it continues, the more Barack Obama profits.

Completely agree. The surest way to get me to vote FOR President Obama is for the Republicans to nominate Rick Santorum. He’ll increase government spending, much of it to increase the government’s meddling in our personal lives. Pretty much the anti-libertarian candidate . . . .

Criticize the voters or criticize the performance of Team Romney – an interesting choice. Given 4 years preparation, the 3 year record of a failed presidency as backdrop, and this is the best they can do?  Well, of the current batch of GOP contenders for the presidency, Romney is the most likely to be cowed by an assertive Congress based on his performance to date; which may not be such a bad outcome.
