It would be nice if zealots like Grover Norquist, and the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities had facts to back up their zealotry on budget issues. But as Robert Samuelson points out, facts are the last thing that either Norquist, or the Center will give you when talking about fiscal policy.
Relatedly, here’s something to keep in mind the next time you read Paul Krugman: He regularly cites the Center to back up his arguments on his blog, even going so far as to call it “the single best source for serious budget analysis”. To put matters bluntly, no one should take that claim–or the people who make it–seriously. At all.
