How Scared of Jon Huntsman is the Obama Administration?

by Pejman Yousefzadeh on March 6, 2011

So scared, that they have sent Bill Daley out to perform the “keep your friends close, but your enemies closer” routine. And given Daley’s performance, it is clear that the Administration considers Huntsman one of the most formidable foes the President could possibly face in his quest for re-election.

Something for people on the Right to consider the next time they denounce Huntsman as a RINO. Helping the Obama Administration marginalize Huntsman only serves to increase the chances that there will be four more years of the Obama Administration.

Oh, and for Bill Daley’s benefit: There is a difference between working “on behalf of the Obama Administration,” and working on behalf of the country. Huntsman did the latter. I recognize that there are some in the White House who are so political that they cannot recognize the distinction, but that doesn’t mean that the distinction does not exist.

What we need to focus on is who can beat Obama, we can work with whoever it is on other issues.

Oh, please. Until Huntsman quit the ambassadorship the only person outside the White House who considered him a contender was Huntsman.

Who is going to go before the American people in 2012 and say with a straight face that what this country needs in a position of leadership to deal with the crisis created in the last four years is a man who spent most of that time out of the country?

Y’all are forgetting Obama is a megalomaniac. He probably thinks praising Huntsman will help him win the nomination.
