Health Care Reform, and Unintended Consequences

Just got the following e-mail from a very smart, well-connected friend:

Last night I had drinks with a California labor lawyer who negotiates contracts on behalf of companies.

He said that Obamacare has been a gift to him. He basically starts every negotiation now with “we are considering ending health care. The 2k fine is pretty minimal considering the cost of your health care.” He immediately gets massive concessions from the unions to keep people in health care.
