An Excellent Choice for the Nobel Peace Prize

Doing significantly better than they did last year, the Nobel Committee has awarded the Peace Prize to Chinese dissident Liu Xiaobo. It is to be hoped that the Chinese government will take note, and eventually realize that it is making itself a pariah in the international community with respect to human rights issues, though its initial reaction to the award is less-than-promising on that front.
