A few thoughts on this story:
1. I am sure that someone will accuse the former Defense Secretary of trying to profit off of the book. Not so; Secretary Rumsfeld is taking no advance whatsoever, and will donate all money that would normally go to him to the care of veterans.
2. The oh-so-tolerant port-siders who regularly pat themselves on the back for their tolerance will be driven mad by this book.
3. The title is excellent. Cheeky, based on a bizarrely controversial statement that was, in fact, banal at worst, and a signal to the reader that we will actually learn something about Secretary Rumsfeld upon reading the book. I can’t stand most modern book titles; they seem so weirdly saccharine, and they all appear to have been dreamed up by the same committee of ghostwriters. Not so with this book.
