Big News in the Legal Battle Over Health Care Reform

A federal judge refuses to dismiss challenges to the bill. This, of course, does not mean that challenges to the bill will be successful, but efforts to shut them down completely have failed.

This is going to get interesting. I haven’t had the time to digest the specifics of the ruling, but statements from the court acknowledging that the Commerce Clause is being used in new and sweeping ways to promulgate health care reform are pretty momentous.
