The WikiLeaks Posting

I certainly agree with the Obama Administration’s assessment that the posting of secret Pentagon documents on WikiLeaks served to damage the American war effort. It was a despicable effort to undermine American national security, and the disclosures could have grave consequences. They may even cost lives, as the White House properly pointed out.

So, why didn’t the White House try to stop news reports about the leaks? Surely, those news reports made matters worse, no?

Um, they didn't stop news reports about the leaks because we have freedom of the press in this country? Are you serious?
