The End of the Affair

Or at the very least, a significant bump in the road: Congressional Democrats are tired of carrying water for the Obama Administration. This really comes at the worst possible time for the Administration; while the President and Congressional Democrats are trying to ensure that they sing from the same songsheet in the run-up to the midterm elections, they are fighting over legislation, and Congressional Democrats are demonstrating their resentment over the Administration’s treatment of them. I know that Rep. Gerald E. Connolly said that he doesn’t expect “flowers and chocolates” from the Administration, but I have to think that such a gift can’t hurt at this stage.
