On The New Boss

It bears pointing out that the thrust of Ben Domenech’s post applies in discussing foreign policy; after having worked very hard to distance himself from George W. Bush’s conduct of foreign affairs, Barack Obama finds that his Administration does not differ all that much from the Bush Administration in dealing with the rest of the world.

This will-or at least, this should–make Obama fans who expected a fundamental break with Bush policies quite uncomfortable. One wonders whether they will rebel against the Administration’s foreign policy, or whether they will pretend that they never read or heard of anything resembling Will Inboden’s apt commentary.
