The George W. Bush Standard Is About To Be Revised

Anytime Dick Cheney speaks out against the Obama Administration, invariably, someone comes along to tut-tut, and to contrast the former Vice President’s outspoken behavior unfavorably with the silence maintained by George W. Bush. Just as invariably, we are told that the former President’s silence must mean that he disapproves of the comments made by the former Vice President.

And now, we find out that George W. Bush actually approves of the fact that Dick Cheney is critiquing the Obama Administration.

I guess this means that the former President’s out-of-office honeymoon is going to come to an end. Of course, it could mean that Cheney’s critics ought to re-examine a few of their premises, but we all know that’s not going to happen, don’t we?
