Handicapping The 2010 Midterm Elections

by Pejman Yousefzadeh on January 25, 2010

There remains plenty of time for the Democrats to steady themselves in advance of the 2010 midterm elections. But to be sure, Beau Biden’s decision not to seek the Senate seat from Delaware does not help Democratic fortunes. Neither, for that matter, does increased Bush-bashing. The Rothenberg Political Report has 28 House seats moving the Republicans’ way, and can no longer rule out the possibility that Republicans will recapture the House. I don’t know if all of this means that the bottom is falling out for the Democrats. But at the very least, it appears to be crumbling significantly.

UPDATE: And it gets worse for the Democrats.
