The title describes the Democratic outlook on the 2010 midterms. Behold the poll.
Steve Benen–the poor man’s Kevin Drum–seems to think that among other things, it would be good for Democrats to pass health care in order to get the base happy and excited again. The same argument is made elsewhere, to which Don Surber pithily replies “Oh, by all means, do.” Well put; the issue of health care has mobilized Republicans at least as much as it has mobilized Democrats. Indeed, Democrats should fear for the state of their party if onerous individual mandates are passed just as much as the rest of us should fear for the state of the country in the event of their passage.
