Just . . . wow.

Not to forget: Zbigniew Brzezinski was the National Security Adviser during the whole of the Carter Administration. He is now spending his time advocating things like having the United States shoot down Israeli planes in the event that those planes seek to deny Iran the use of nuclear technology via aerial bombardment. I have little problem stating that right now would not be a good time for an Israeli bombing campaign; it can help the Islamic regime unite the country behind it, and turn the populace against the reformist movement in Iran. But seriously, having American planes shoot down Israeli planes just so that one can call it a “Liberty in reverse”?

Utterly stunning. The fact that the man who came up with this cockamamie notion regularly advised a President of the United States on national security matters, ought to scare us. The Carter Administration deservedly gained for itself a poor reputation on national security issues. I think we all got yet another glimpse as to why.
