Bears win. And we have a quarterback.
I would like to see the Bears put an opponent away, of course; these comeback wins are a little trying on the soul, exciting though they are. The Lions are next on the list, so hopefully they will provide the Bears with an easy victory, although the Lions’ ability to finally win one this past weekend might enable them to come in with a full head of steam against the Bears this coming weekend. Chicago probably can’t take anything for granted.
But whether a win is a blowout, or a nailbiter, it’s still a win, and Bears fans will take them however they come. In the past two weeks, the Bears have shown a lot of courage and character on both sides of the ball, and have done their fans proud in the process. The NFC North is a tremendously competitive division thus far, and the Bears are right in the thick of things in the race for the division championship. I know that the season is young, and that there are a lot of challenges ahead for Chicago, but the Bears show a lot of promise, and are giving their fans reason to hope that this could be a productive and special season.
Here’s hoping I didn’t just jinx the team.
